OCAS-ILC
OCAS-iLC combines high intensity pulsed illumination with motion blur free camera technology to form an integrated image capture system. This is a highly customisable camera that is available with a range of white light and near infrared (NIR) configurations (various frequencies). It is a ready to go solution for inspection systems or long range facial recognition.
The NIR configuration is ideal for inspection systems where stop motion images are required within the same area operators are present. As the NIR is invisible to the eye, high pulse intensities can be employed with no impact on human operators. The intensity and short duration of the light pulses is such that in many applications unconstrained ambient light presents no problems to the imaging system. Due to the unobtrusive nature of the NIR and its intensity, excellent image capture can be achieved for facial recognition over several metres.
The visible light variant provides a high level of white light for colour analysis where interference from ambient lighting is less problematic.
OCAS-iLC is available with a wide range of focal length lenses, allowing the system to be optimised for specific applications.

Easily Mountable, High Performance, Low Power
The OCAS-iLC is compact and easily mounted to an appropriate 1/4" x 20 UNC (standard camera mount) fixture/stand. Alternatively the camera can be screwed onto a fixture with M5 bolts. The unit is light with a durable, attractive finish consisting of anodised and dry powder coated aluminium.
The system is low power, with the illumination being able to be powered from a 24V DC, 4A Supply. The Camera can have full frame rates of over 30fps with a settable watchdog, that will cause the camera to renumerate automatically after a period of inactivity checking host ports are active and keeping the cameras active. The durable nature of the system gives 24/7 operation ability.
Optional RS485 connection is available for configuration, monitoring and sub system integration.
OCAS-iLC can be optionally integrated with other products, such as our OCAS-V machine vision platforms, to meet your business application needs for reliable, cost effective process monitoring solutions.

PSI Camera Technology
Our machine vision products use the latest generation of PSI cameras that operate in high dynamic range and are free of motion blur. They transmit uncompressed image data over a USB-3 link to introduce no compression artefacts. This results in the ideal data for machine vision processing.
Additional functions incorporated within the camera include programmable watchdogs such that should communication stop between the camera and host, the camera will perform a full restart, recovering the system without user intervention. In remote applications this can often provide critical enhancements in system reliability.
For multi camera applications, the camera can be given names held in non volatile memory. This allows identification of each camera at enumeration providing much higher levels of flexibility on a complex multi-camera installation. In the unlikely event that firmware updates are required, these updates can be pushed to the macers entirely remotely. All specific camera data is retained such that no data loss or loss of configuration occurs during firmware updates.

Lens Correction
Each camera is able to store complex lens correction data specific to that camera and lens combination.
The resulting solution provides remarkable lens distortion correction even with modestly priced fisheye lenses. Further geometric, tilt and perspective correction can be stored by the camera, giving a corrected image no matter how often it is plugged into a host, due to the correction data being stored on the device itself.
